Liz Lee grew up in West Central Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota-Morris with a BA in English. She then pursued a teaching license through St. Cloud State University receiving a special education license for Emotional Behavioral Disorder. For the next 11 years,  Liz then taught special education at Crosby Ironton Public Schools, both at the elementary and secondary levels.  During this time, Liz returned to St. Cloud State earning a Masters in Educational Leadership in 2007, receiving licensure for Superintendent, Principal and Director of Special Education. For one year, Liz then took a Special Education Coordinator job with Northern Lakes Special Education Cooperative near Grand Rapids.  In 2010, Liz returned to the Brainerd area to take the Lead Special Education Teacher Position at Forestview Middle School with the Brainerd School District. She worked in this position for three years.  Since 2013, Liz has been the Assistant Director of Special Education serving the following school districts: Aitkin, Crosby-Ironton, Pillager, Pequot Lakes, Pine River-Backus, Crosslake Charter School, and Pillager Area Charter School
