The purpose of the Special Education Advisory Council is to increase the involvement of parents of children with disabilities in advising district policy and decision making. Minnesota State Law 125A.24 requires the Paul Bunyan Education Cooperative to have a SEAC.

SEAC is dedicated to:

  • Advocating for high quality programs & services
  • Advising on special education policies, procedures, & practices
  • Assisting in identifying areas of improvement
  • Encouraging good communication & support

The Paul Bunyan Education Cooperative is looking for parent participation in the Special Education Advisory Council.  SEAC works collaboratively to improve communication, support parent involvement in special education decision making, and enhance our systems to better meet the needs of students with disabilities.
