Laura Lind, formerly Guertin, has been married to her husband, Jordan since 10-07-2017. The happy newlyweds recently moved from Sartell, MN to a house in Brainerd where they hope to expand their family in the near future (she’s sorry about the maternity leave ahead of time). Laura went to St. Kate’s and got her BA in American Sign Language/English Interpreting in 2010. She currently has one more semester left until she graduates in December 2018 with her master’s in special education with an emphasis in Deaf and Hard of Hearing from The University of Arizona; she’s super excited to be done with school (for now anyway). She has been a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing since the fall of 2015 for ISD #181. One of Laura’s favorite roles in life is being an auntie. She has three nephews and one niece on her side, and five nephews on her husband’s side. She may only have two of her own, but she definitely shows signs of being a “cat lady.” Don’t worry, she likes dogs too! Nature is one of Laura’s preferred places to be, whether it be out on the lake, on the deck enjoying a bon fire, or snow shoeing after a nice snowfall. Laura enjoys listening to all sorts of music, it all depends on her mood. Oftentimes you’ll catch her laughing and smiling, which are her favorite things to do. She loves life to the fullest and strives for peace and happiness everywhere she goes.
