Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from MN State Moorhead and her Masters in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of North Dakota. She is also an Education Leadership and Administration doctoral student at St. Cloud State University. Throughout her career (pre and post-college), Emily has supported students as a PCA, paraprofessional, and an Early Childhood Special Education teacher in both the Early Intervention (B-2) and the 3-5 ECSE programs. Emily worked as a B-5 ECSE teacher for the Area Special Education Cooperative and Cambridge-Isanti Public Schools. Most recently, Emily served as the B-2 Evaluation Coordinator for Brainerd Public Schools from 2021-2023.

 

Emily and her husband were both born and raised in the BLA, so they were excited to return to the area in 2019 with their children. Emily enjoys spending time with her children and husband in her free time. Her favorite activities include anything involving the lake, mountain biking, gardening, hiking, and caring for her small zoo of pets.
