Thriving Together: Build belonging and advocacy
Parenting a child with a disability can seem lonely if it feels like no one understands your journey. Join us for this virtual workshop to learn how to build a support network and grow your advocacy skills through friendships, peer groups, and community programs. You’ll leave with practical ways you can strengthen your circle of support, advocate with confidence, and create a community rooted in understanding. This workshop is presented in partnership with Family Voices of Minnesota.
Thriving Together: A family’s guide to navigating disability services is a workshop series that brings together families and professionals to learn practical tools and strategies to help inform the experience of raising a child with a disability. Each workshop will focus on one of five different themes: family experience, healthcare navigation, public benefits, school health, and community support. Attendance for all five workshops in the series is recommended but not required.
If an ASL interpreter is required, please notify workshops@pacer.org at least 48 hours prior to the workshop. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
