Thriving Together: Navigate health care systems with confidence
Whether you started getting medical support at your child’s birth or after a later diagnosis, health care systems can feel unfamiliar, complicated, and overwhelming. Join us for this virtual workshop to learn how parents and professionals can work together as partners and explore practical tools like care plans, communication logs, and transition checklists. You’ll also gain the confidence to help you take a leading role in guiding your child’s journey through the health care system.
Thriving Together: A family’s guide to navigating disability services is a workshop series that brings together families and professionals to learn practical tools and strategies to help inform the experience of raising a child with a disability. Each workshop will focus on one of five different themes: family experience, healthcare navigation, public benefits, school health, and community support. Attendance for all five workshops in the series is recommended but not required.
If an ASL interpreter is required, please notify workshops@pacer.org at least 48 hours prior to the workshop. We will do our best to accommodate your request.
