Liz Lee grew up in West Central Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota-Morris with a BA in English. She then perused a teaching license through St. Cloud State University receiving a special education license for Emotional Behavioral Disorder. Liz then taught special education, both at the elementary and secondary levels for the next eleven years. During this time, Liz returned to St. Cloud State earning a Masters in Educational Leadership in 2007, receiving license for Superintendent, Principal and Director of Special Education. Liz then took a Special Education Coordinator job with Northern Lakes Special Education Cooperative. In 2010, Liz returned to the Brainerd area to take the Lead Special Education Teacher Position at Forestview Middle School with the Brainerd School District. She worked in this position for three years. Since 2013, Liz has been the Assistant Director of Special Education serving the following school districts: Aitkin, Crosby-Ironton, Pillager, Pequot Lakes, Pine River-Backus, Crosslake Charter School, Pillager Area Charter School and the 12-21 programs in Brainerd.
