You’ll gain reassurance\, encouragement\, and practical ideas for navigating your own journey of raising a child with a disability. \nThriving Together: A family’s guide to navigating disability services is a workshop series that brings together families and professionals to learn practical tools and strategies to help inform the experience of raising a child with a disability. Each workshop will focus on one of five different themes: family experience\, healthcare navigation\, public benefits\, school health\, and community support. DESCRIPTION:In this hands-on workshop\, participants will learn how to design a wooden inlay piece that can be transformed into a magnet\, pendant\, keychain\, or other custom creation. Participants will be guided through creating a digital design in Inkscape before bringing it to life with the laser cutter. Once the creation is laser cut\, participants can add color\, assemble the layers\, and finish it into a one-of-a-kind keepsake.
